Welcome!  Washtenaw Literacy provides free literacy instruction customized to the needs of adults throughout Washtenaw County, utilizing a trained network of volunteer tutors.  It is our vision to eliminate illiteracy in Washtenaw County.  For 39 years we have been empowering adults through improved literacy.  Since our founding in 1971, we have served over 13,000 learners and trained and fully supported over 6,000 volunteer tutors.
